Ok, so I thought I’d best get down to getting some posts up about anime, seeing as that’s really what this blog is all about. This little series caught my eye as a good starting point ’cause it’s just so darn cute! Episodes last about 2 or 3 minutes and throughout we follow the adventures of a little kitten named Chi. The opening song is sweet – I can totally relate seeing as my cats think about the same sort of things.

We first see a group of cats walking along the street, all happy and furry – a mother cat and her three kittens. Our hero, Chi, is perhaps the cutest of the bunch and of course the most easily distracted. Looking up as they walk, Chi spots a bird and watches it in interest, becoming oblivious to the rest of her family as they turn and take a side road, she continues along.

After the bird passes, her fun is short lived as she realises she’s lost. She starts running about asking other creatures for help, including a large dog, who scares her silly and then recieving a fright from a lorry rushing past.

Later she collapses in a park, depressed and hungry – aww the poor little fluff! As she closes her eyes, teary-eyed, she hears the sound of a little boy falling in front of her and crying. The two stare at each other for a bit before she closes her eyes and gives up. It’s at this point that the little guy’s mother comes along – after being told that the cat’s fallen over, she shows some concern, but that’s as much as we’re going to find out this episode and we’re left with a bit of a cliff-hanger – oh, what’s going to happen to cute little Chi?
Anyways, this isn’t much of an anime if you’re all for complicated storylines and a lot of character development – but if you want something short and cute that will give you a giggle, a sniff and make you want to hug your own local pet, I’d say give this one a go! Make sure to watch the next episode!
